This is a great shot of an F-18 Hornet flying over the U.S.S. Carrier Ronald Reagan. My son will be reporting to duty to work with "The Stingers" F-18 squadron as an Intelligence Specialist at the end of July. He won't be flying in the jets, of course, but he will be stationed on the Ronald Reagan for 4-6 months. He joined the Navy almost 3 years ago, and has been stationed in Washington DC since. His new post will be with the Stingers, whose home base is Lemoore, CA, when they're not deployed on a carrier. His dad and I are thrilled that he will be closer to home! We may get to see him more!

Needless to say, we are proud of him for serving his country. And I want to say how proud I am of ALL of our military men and women, and their families, for their daily sacrifices. Thank-you a million times!

  1. You are right on Kris...many people only think the guys in the sand are sacrificing, but ALL military sacrifice and so do their families. As a Navy mom, I know first hand how hard it is to have a son in the military. I thank Nick for his service. and I thank my Jeff and ALL the others out there so we can be safe!

  2. amazing!
